Inviting Peace Workers to Hiroshima

About This Project

ANT-Hiroshima invites people involved in peace-related work, from other parts of Japan and other nations, to visit Hiroshima because we believe this firsthand experience is the most effective way to understand the reality of Hiroshima’s experience. We also organize seminars and other activities for children and adults in and out of Japan to help them learn more about Hiroshima. For these visitors to Hiroshima, we arrange opportunities for them to interact with local Hiroshima citizens.

How This Work Began

In 2003, Mr. Anshu Rahman of Bangladesh wanted to visit Hiroshima and Nagasaki in connection with conducting anti-nuclear peace activities in his home country. In response to his wish, ANT-Hiroshima invited him to visit Japan.
